Neuromuscular Therapy

The clinical application of neuromuscular techniques in European and American settings is very different. When combined, the two approaches complement each other very well. This treatment method consists of a combination of European neuromuscular technique (NMTq), positional release (PR) muscle energy technique (MET) and a precise and thorough application of massage techniques. A gentle but highly effective therapy.

Sports Massage Therapy

Sports massage therapy utilises Swedish deep tissue massage techniques and modern soft tissue release (STR) guided by an awareness of injury scenarios and muscle imbalance. It can be applied as a “back, neck and shoulders” or full body treatment.

Kevin Prunty MSc NMT

Kevin is a first generation neuromuscular therapist. In 2001 the first formal course of study in European NMT took place in National training centre in Dublin. This involved tutors from around the world coming together to build a profession with high palpation skills, an evidence base and an exhaustive toolbox of manual and movement techniques to help people in the community.

On becoming a fully qualified therapist Kevin worked in the FAI League of Ireland, ran clinics in Monaghan, Dublin and Cork and has gone on to teach NMT internationally.

As a tutor lecturer of therapy courses Kevin is no stranger to public speaking and has been involved in the health & wellness education of teams and corporates for many years..

Now based in Kerry Kevin has established KP Therapy in the Brandon Hotel. Kevin is always available for a chat and you can book an appointment with anyone on the KP Therapy team via the booking system above.
